Get a prime cut with the 896 Auger Platform. Key areas of the platform – such as the knife drive case – are stronger. Larger bearings in the case improve durability and enable higher loads. A larger yoke/wobble shaft, and the use of needle bearings instead of bushings, increases durability of the knife drives. Web gussets on the case and cover add even more strength. You can easily check the oil with a conveniently placed dipstick. And the reel is still the industry’s toughest, with a cast cam and rectangular tube reel bats. Other standard features include a double auger design, PowrReverser,™ powerful hydraulic drive motor, heavy-duty knife drive case, and adjustable gauge shoes.
